SB Lifts provides a complete lift re-roping and lift rope replacement service throughout the UK, from initial site survey through to supply, installation and return to service. We work with lift companies, facilities managers and building operators, providing specialist re-roping solutions for passenger lifts, goods lifts, service lifts and other traction lift installations. We supply and install a wide range of lift suspension ropes, including fibre core (NFC), steel core (IWRC) and plastic-coated ropes, as well as lift belts and chains. With our own rope stock at our Leicester facility, we can provide fast, reliable service for planned rope replacements and urgent lift re-roping requirements.

 

Lift ropes we supply and install:

Fibre core (NFC) - sizes ranging from 5mm to 20mm diameter. all constructions.

Steel core (IWRC) - sizes ranging from 5mm to 20mm diameter. All constructions.

PU Plastic Coated Ropes - sizes supplied: 6.5, 8.1 mm & 10mm. 6x19s IWRC

 

We know that every customer's needs are different. Over the years, we have found that we follow the same procedure for every rerope we undertake...

1. Site & Rope survey. A cost to the customer follows this.

2. Source ropes - this usually takes days, as we stock a large selection of ropes at our warehouse in Leicester.

3. Agree on a date with the customer to complete works and provide safety documentation, e.g., RAMS.

4. Attend the site and complete the rerope. We guarantee our speedy service will keep lift downtime to a minimum. After completing the re-rope, we return the lift to service and dispose of the removed lift ropes through an approved waste management company.
